gnunet: 0.14.0 -> 0.14.1 gnunet-gtk: 0.13.1 -> 0.14.0 (there is no 0.14.1 release) build with correct `gnunet` location. otherwise `gnunet-setup` will not pick up plugins. See: https://git.gnunet.org/gnunet-gtk.git/tree/README?id=5034ca084258d6653b2986b00167c736a9cd93ed#n19 add libsodium to pass configure check for GNUnet util library.

2021-01-19treewide: pkgs.pkgconfig -> pkgs.pkg-config, move pkgconfig to alias.nixJonathan Ringer1-2/+2
continuation of #109595 pkgconfig was aliased in 2018, however, it remained in all-packages.nix due to its wide usage. This cleans up the remaining references to pkgs.pkgsconfig and moves the entry to aliases.nix. python3Packages.pkgconfig remained unchanged because it's the canonical name of the upstream package on pypi.
2021-01-11treewide: with stdenv.lib; in meta -> with lib;Profpatsch1-2/+2
Part of: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/issues/108938 meta = with stdenv.lib; is a widely used pattern. We want to slowly remove the `stdenv.lib` indirection and encourage people to use `lib` directly. Thus let’s start with the meta field. This used a rewriting script to mostly automatically replace all occurances of this pattern, and add the `lib` argument to the package header if it doesn’t exist yet. The script in its current form is available at https://cs.tvl.fyi/depot@2f807d7f141068d2d60676a89213eaa5353ca6e0/-/blob/users/Profpatsch/nixpkgs-rewriter/default.nix

2018-07-22Take me (viric) out of most maintenanceLluís Batlle i Rossell1-1/+1
Since years I'm not maintaining anything of the list below other than some updates when I needed them for some reason. Other people is doing that maintenance on my behalf so I better take me out but for very few packages. Finally!
2018-04-30tree-wide: platforms = platforms.gnu; -> platforms = gnu ++ linuxWill Dietz1-1/+1
"platforms.gnu" has been linux-only since at least 17.03: $ nix eval -f channel:nixos-17.03 lib.platforms.gnu [ "i686-linux" "x86_64-linux" "armv5tel-linux" "armv6l-linux" "armv7l-linux" "aarch64-linux" "mips64el-linux" ] Unlike platforms.linux, platforms.gnu indicates "must use glibc" which for the most part is not intended. Replacing platforms.gnu with platforms.linux would be the same "today" but let's err on preserving existing behavior and be optimistic about platforms these packages work on.

2014-08-24Fix many package descriptionsBjørn Forsman1-1/+1
(My OCD kicked in today...) Remove repeated package names, capitalize first word, remove trailing periods and move overlong descriptions to longDescription. I also simplified some descriptions as well, when they were particularly long or technical, often based on Arch Linux' package descriptions. I've tried to stay away from generated expressions (and I think I succeeded). Some specifics worth mentioning: * cron, has "Vixie Cron" in its description. The "Vixie" part is not mentioned anywhere else. I kept it in a parenthesis at the end of the description. * ctags description started with "Exuberant Ctags ...", and the "exuberant" part is not mentioned elsewhere. Kept it in a parenthesis at the end of description. * nix has the description "The Nix Deployment System". Since that doesn't really say much what it is/does (especially after removing the package name!), I changed that to "Powerful package manager that makes package management reliable and reproducible" (borrowed from nixos.org). * Tons of "GNU Foo, Foo is a [the important bits]" descriptions is changed to just [the important bits]. If the package name doesn't contain GNU I don't think it's needed to say it in the description either.

2014-04-27gnunet: add libgnurl and GnuTLS as dependenciesJames Cook1-7/+6
libgnurl is essential for bootstrapping (needed to download a hostlist). GnuTLS is needed by gnunet-gns-proxy. Also sort dependencies alphabetically.
